Winter Camping gear

In addition to the regular camping gear, winter camping requires some more specialized equipment and clothing:

Cold weather sleeping bag (rated 0 degrees or less)
Ground pad (Foam pads don't deflate and insulate better)
Snow jacket and pants
Non-cotton shirt
Non-cotton sweatshirt
Non-cotton socks (two or three pair)
PJs or long underwear (for layering and sleeping)
Two pair of gloves
Boots (not sneakers)

It's important that campers have a complete set of sleepwear to change into before going to bed. This includes socks and underwear, since residual sweat in inner layers will leading to chills during the night.
