     Today, Dan Milot taught the new scouts about the structure and fun of boy scouts.  We did a head check for the upcoming campout and found out that Dan Milot, Matt Ryan, and Mike Giglio (and some others) could attend.  We purchased 5 new tents, including a new 4-man tent. 

     Campout preparations:

• Patrols made menus
• Scouts looked over rank advancements
• Scouts dicussed lean-tos & tents
• We discussed reteaching Totin' Chip requirements
• WE went over the proper method to wash dishes
• We did pack inspections for the first-year scouts and discussed a flag ceremony and how to use a stove
• We reviewed fire-making techniques and leave no trace rules

FUTURE 

• Merit Badge sign-ups
• Out-of-town campout locations
• Possible troop merit badges: Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Personal Management, Communications, Physical Fitness, First Aid, Emergency Preparedness
• Possible rank/other achievements: Totin' Chip and Fire Man Chip
